Manged to get off work a couple of hours earlier than usual and get down to the water a couple of hours before high tide to check out the conditions which had been promising all day looking out of the window at work. The wind was blowing 20-25mph, but by the time I had been home and loaded up my kit and returned, the wind was dropping a bit. Decided to put up the 8.0m as the tide was still rushing in, and glad I did. I was planning the whole session, most of the time being nicely powered up. The rest of the guys were on 6.5m and were underpowered most of the time, so the bigger kit seemed the right choice. Towards the end of the session, the wind did start to pick up again, and everybody was flying, and at this point I was pretty maxed, but great for drag racing. A very enjoyable 3 hours of good burn and turn conditions.
